(Austin, TX) The Austin Symphony’s 24-Hour Sale concluded February 7 at 11:59 PM and the results are in. The Symphony sold more than 4,600 tickets to its 7 remaining events in the 24-hour period. Ticket purchases came from 127 zip codes and 1318 households, over 700 of which had never purchased a ticket before! This is the fourth year the Symphony has held this sale and each year more patrons take advantage.

“We were once again overwhelmed by the response to this sale,” stated Marketing Director Jason Nicholson. “We continue to want make sure all of Austin can enjoy hearing their world class orchestra and this sale helps introduce a whole new audience to the Symphony. We know that if can get them in the door, they are going to want to come back.”

The Austin Symphony continues its 106th season later this month with a sold-out performance of “Pixar in Concert” on February 17 and will also feature violinist Philippe Quint on “Vive l’Espagne!” February 24 & 25.
