For Immediate Release:

Austin, TX: Jim Reagan, Executive Director of the Austin Symphony Orchestra (ASO), announced today that the organization has surpassed its goal for Annual Fund contributions, and in fact, has set an all-time record. Vice-President Individual Giving Richard Reisenweber reported at the September 19th meeting of the ASO Board of Directors that donations to the organizations annual giving campaign had surpassed its goal of $950,000, taking in over $975,000. However, Reisenweber was not going to be satisfied until the campaign reached his personal goal of $1 million. With two weeks remaining in the drive, Reisenweber issued a challenge to the Board—he would match up to $2,500 in contributions.

With the gauntlet thrown, the ASO Board of Directors accepted the challenge. With one day to spare, the Austin Symphony set a record for donations to its Annual Fund/Individual Gifts campaign with a total climbing over $1 million.
