It’s a dazzling concert event that will have patrons dancing in the aisles! Treat yourself to a magical evening of unforgettable hits by music’s ABBA when the Austin Symphony Orchestra presents The Music of ABBA featuring ARRIVAL on October 3 & 4 at Dell Hall. This is the first concert of the newly expanded 2008-09 season of the Sarah & Ernest Butler Pops. This year’s pops season adds an additional night to the October and March concerts. This concert is proudly sponsored by III Forks and Austin Tree Experts.
The music of ABBA has entertained listeners for over 35 years, enjoying a phenomenal resurgence with the creation of the Broadway stage play and film “Mamma Mia!” Swedish band ARRIVAL is the largest touring ABBA show in the world, touring more than 20 nations. This is the only show with exclusive rights to recreate exact versions of ABBA’s clothing, likeness and sound. You won’t be able to keep your seat on this two-hour hit train as they perform all of ABBA’s greatest hits, including “Dancing Queen,” “Take a Chance on Me,” “S.O.S.,” “Mamma Mia” and many more.
The Music of ABBA featuring ARRIVAL takes place on Friday and Saturday, October 3 & 4, 2008, 8:00 pm in Dell Hall of the Long Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets are $27 to $48.
