December 11, 2009Austin Symphony Orchestra (ASO) President Joe R. Long announced today that after a nationwide search it is welcoming a new Executive Director. Anthony Corroa has accepted the ASO’s offer and will come on board immediately.
Mr. Corroa has been Operations Manager for the Austin Symphony since 2000, having previously served as General Manager of the Baton Rouge Symphony. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University and has an extensive resume as a musician (trumpet) and arts administrator.
President Long said today, “We warmly welcome Anthony and are pleased that the new leader of the ASO is already a ‘member of the family.’ We look forward to many years of association with him as Executive Director of The Austin Symphony Orchestra.”
