The exciting world of Celtic tradition and Irish music come alive at the Palmer Events Center when the Austin Symphony presents Cherish the Ladies for the Sarah & Ernest Butler Promenade Pops on May 29th & 30th.
Cherish the Ladies has grown from a one-time concert concept to an Irish traditional music sensation, literally the most successful and sought after Irish-American group in Celtic music. Taking their name from the name of a traditional Irish jig, Cherish the Ladies initially won recognition as the first and only all-woman traditional Irish band. With their unique, spectacular blend of virtuosic instrumental talents, beautiful vocals, captivating arrangements and stunning step dancing, this powerhouse group combines all the facets of Irish traditional culture in an immensely humorous and entertaining package.
Bring a picnic dinner, relax and enjoy Cherish the Ladies as they perform with the Austin Symphony, Friday & Saturday, May 29th & 30th, 8:00 pm at Palmer Events Center. Tickets are $30 for general admission theater seating, and $45 for cabaret-style table seating. Charge tickets online at http://www.austinsymphony.org where you will find seating maps, price options and a wealth of concert information.
