The Austin Symphony Orchestra (Austin, TX) is proud to announce the winners of the annual Austin Symphony Youth Awards, held November 14th & 15th, 2010. This annual competition is sponsored by the Austin Area Music Teachers Association. The competition is open to students up to age 18. Recipients of the awards are chosen by preliminary and final auditions, competing in five instrumental divisions (strings, piano, harp, percussion and winds.) Winners are given the opportunity to perform for their peers with the Austin Symphony during its annual AT&T High School Concerts Tour in January.
