Austin Symphony Youth Awards

This annual competition is sponsored by the Austin District Music Teachers Association and includes a piano division and instrumental divisions in strings, brass, woodwinds and percussion. First-place award winners within each division audition for ASO Maestro Peter Bay; those winners earn the privilege of performing with the ASO at the high school concerts. Playing for their peers is a thrill for the young musicians and inspirational for their high school colleagues.
